“Donna's work for Preservation New Jersey has been outstanding: from our initial collaboration in developing scopes of work for two very different projects, to her highly organized and efficient conduct of complicated tasks, to outstanding final products and reports. Will be very happy to work with her again, soon.”

RON EMRICH, Executive Director, Preservation New Jersey

“Donna Harris is remarkably well informed about community and economic development, particularly downtown programs such as Main Street and the intersection of economic development with heritage issues. She is generous with her knowledge, responsive to her clients, and she communicates extremely well.”

ANN MINTZ, Director of Development University City District, Philadelphia, PA

“Donna was hired by NJ Main Street to come up to Newton, NJ and conduct a fund raising workshop for Main Street Newton. We had 12 people in attendance that listened to Donna’s presentation and than participate in a Q&A session. We were impressed with Donna’s presentation and deep knowledge of the in's and out's of fundraising for a non-profit. Donna went above and beyond by providing our group with sample fund raising letters we could use to send out to our constituents. Donna was also keen on making sure we knew she was available to us if for any follow up assistance.”

SEAN McGUIRE, Board President, Main Street Newton (NJ)

“Donna provided a highly informative and entertaining workshop for Oklahoma's statewide preservation conference last June 2007. She had participants bring artifacts that represented their community, and we exchanged ideas about what the things were and how they could be used to promote shopping and tourism at the local level.”

“Donna's very honest approach to the challenges that face organizations operating historic house museums provided real thought-provoking information, and her presentation was extremely well received.”

MELVENA HEISCH, Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer, Oklahoma

“Heritage Consulting held our hands through a major reorganization, exploring every scenario and option, before steering us into the right structure. After researching precedents and regulations, then sorting through all the tedious paperwork, they (Donna Harris) laid our clear, easy steps for our Board and staff to follow with confidence.”

“Nobody understands not-for-profits better than Donna Harris. From incorporation and bylaws, to board and volunteer roles, to fundraising and accountability, we were prepared to manage a professional operation by Heritage Consulting.”

“Heritage Consulting was worth every cent we spent to retain them. Local manpower and volunteer leadership is great, but to make smart decisions in establishing an effective organization, bringing in the experts is the only way to go.”

“Knowing Donna Ann Harris personally and professionally for many years, I can guarantee that any client will get 100% loyalty and effort, a frank "like-it-or-not" style, diligent research and thorough satisfaction with the project. And your organization will appreciate ending up in a much better place after working with her company.”

JOHN MAGUIRE, Long Grove Business and Community Partners, Long Grove IL

“Donna Ann Harris provided a workshop, based on her 2007 book (New Solutions for House Museums), to address a serious issue in the museum world. This was part of the Association of Indiana Museums' annual statewide conference, 8.24.08. Evaluations ranked Donna Ann's materials, concepts and presentation at the highest levels.”

TIFFANY HATFIELD, Director Indiana Museum Association

“Donna helped Historic Yellow Springs (HYS) build a conceptual site plan to solve our historic site's issues related to accessibility, safety, and usability. Donna led us through a very complicated process that included multiple stakeholders and local government officials. She worked very closely with HYS' board, staff, and a historic architect to facilitate a solution that balances historical authenticity and access. Community inclusion was a key component of Donna's approach and the most significant factor in the project's success. The current HYS Conceptual Site Plan now forms the foundation for a future phase that includes fundraising, engineering, and implementation for the plan. Based on my experiences working with her on this successful project, I highly recommend the Donna's services.”
