Year End Gifts Webinar September 5th

We are delighted that the Wisconsin Historical Society has reached out to us to participate in their Local History Webinars, a series of free weekly webinars for several years on history-related topics. All the Local History Webinars are open to anyone interested in local history and the tools needed to collect, preserve, and share your stories.

On September 5th, at 1:30 central time we will be presenting a 45-minute webinar on Why Aren't You Asking for Year-End Gifts? Meant as an overview of year-end appeals, this webinar will help organizations to raise money during the weeks from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. Charity Network says that more than 40% of all charitable donations are made in December, and of that, 10% happen the last three days of the year.  We will have provided a calendar to organize your work, several articles on the year-end giving process, and list of email marketing subject lines to help you make the best of this intensive funding effort around the holidays.

Later in the fall, we will be presenting on Best Practices in Board Service for Historic Sites for the same  Local History Webinar series. Look for more information in our next newsletter.
