Expanding the Camden Heritage Tourism Kiosk

We have been working on the City of Camden Heritage Tourism Touch Screen Kiosk for about two years, and the first phase has been completed and is getting great reviews in Camden City Hall (see above).

Over the next six months the final two phases will be completed. The second phase will add visitor information about fifty historic sites and history organizations associated with the Camden County History Alliance, a project of the Camden County Historical Society. This second phase also includes updating and reprinting all of the rack cards for the 21 historic sites open to the public in Camden County. We will also update the Map and Guide we prepared in 2018 for the Camden County History Alliance’s “Camden County History Week.” These rack cards will be made available in Camden City Hall below the touchscreen kiosk and at all the other historic sites in the county that participate in the program.

The third and final phase of this kiosk project will highlight the 39 Revolutionary War battle sites and skirmish locations throughout Camden County as we anticipate for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in 2026. We will prepare an overall map for the Revolutionary War battle sites project to display on the kiosk and write short histories about each of these 39 battle and skirmish locations. We are looking forward to starting the next two phases of work on this already highly successful heritage tourism project in Camden City Hall.
