Fall 2022 Speaking Engagements

We have some upcoming speaking engagements this Fall. On October 19, we will be speaking again to old friends and new at the Illinois Main Street Conference in Bloomington, IL. This time we are speaking about “Better Recruitment Equals Better Boards” and “Boosting Net Revenue at Fundraising Events.” Both of these presentations focus on building a healthy organization by paying attention to basic truths about downtown work: the people and the money are critical components to make organizations great.  If you are planning to come to the Bloomington Conference, please drop by and say HI!

We are delighted to return as a speaker to the tristate (MS, LA, AR) Destination Downtown Conference, this year held in North Little Rock, AR.  One of our presentations highlights two consulting engagements we did in Arkansas in the last 18 months where we made bylaw updates for two Main Street towns. We will provide some context about bylaws as organizational “road maps” and how to amend them for more effective operations. Talicia Richardson from 64.6 Downtown in Fort Smith and Jackie Wolgen from Eureka Springs Main Street will talk about their organizations and why bylaw revisions were needed.

We are hoping that attendees come with questions about their bylaws.  We’ll supply handouts of key bylaw provisions about which you should know. If you are planning to be in North Little Rock for the tristate Destination Downtown Conference please drop by and say HI! If you want to see our bylaw handouts, please contact us at heritageconsultinginc@gmail.com.
