Carbondale, IL Main Street Has a New Executive Director 2024

Over four months this winter in 2023-2024, we consulted with the Carbondale IL Main Street organization to assist them in their search process as they hired a new Executive Director. We organized and staffed a Search Committee, created committee agendas, set up Zoom meetings, and provided professional guidance on the search process. We engaged with both the Board and Search Committee to help interview a fine roster of candidates. The Board has chosen Matt Collinsworth, a highly qualified candidate to be their new Executive Director and he has already started work. Learn more about Carbondale Main Street by clicking this link.
As part of this assignment, the Board also wanted a wholesale review of their bylaws so they would mirror the actual structure and workings of the organization. We staffed a Bylaw Review Committee and made many revisions to the existing bylaws, which were adopted by the Board in January 2024. Carbondale Main Street is now in a much better position to advance the organization and meet the challenges and opportunities ahead in their downtown district.
